Title: Has the Media Grown a Pair?
Date: 05/16/2007 09:59:44 I was flipping through the channels last night and I caught a story on Frontline about how the US Government is infringing on our 4th Amendment rights by spying on our phone calls and filtering our information. Yes, Frontline! I know that many of the blogs have been screaming about this for years, but to have this on NBC in a one hour special is a great indicator that the media has finally realized that they have an obligation to our country to keep our government in check.
Basically how the NSA spying program works is that they filter our phone calls for "keywords" that would indicate terrorist activity. So, they assume that every person in the United States is a terrorist and wait for you to just talk about it on the phone so they can bust you.
