There is supposedly a Jihadist Web site that is discussing internet attacks to us financial websites, such as the internet-based stock market. I do however wonder how this would be possible. You would think with the amount of security built into these systems that a radical group with no rational thought process would not be able to penetrate them, but obviously it has scared enough people to upgrade the security setting (which is good thing regardless). But really though, how much damage would it really cause to our economy? They mention in the article that it is a virus that attacks internet sites and destroys data. But, I guess I am curious as to how exactly that would really work. For one, there must be backups of all this, so if it went down for 20 minutes it would immediately be replenished with the backups... Or so I hope.
