I figured we would have gotten rid of this guy by now, but apparently it pays to have friends in high places. In the last few weeks I have heard media reports of people wanting to impeach Bush, impeach Cheney and now impeach Gonzales. How dissatisfied with the administration do we have to be before people actually do something? This is getting crazy...

How many people have to criticize the president before people start to realize that the only thing this administration seems to do right is screw up? Jimmy Carter really doesn't seem to like the way this administration is going about things. From the sounds of this article off the AP, Bush and company can do no right. Even Jimmy thinks faith based initiatives are a bad idea...

I have no idea how good the reporting is on this site, but I checked out the senator and this seems correct...

So I watched Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" yesterday. It was put together pretty well except for the parts where it seemed they were basically trying to add filler or throw in some cheap emotional pulls. But no matter how many shot's of Gore we get working on his presentation on this laptop, the information is the key. But no matter how much evidence he presents to his audience on the relationship of the rise in carbon dioxide and the warming of the planet, I thin... |

This looks like an interesting concept. Draft a team from the members of Congress and get scored :) Should we set up a PTTP team?

It's nice to see that some people are finally starting to wake up. The last 6 years or so have really shown us what happens when a single party has majority control of more if not all positions in our government. Without the balance of AT LEAST one other party, they just have a hayday doing what they want. Now I'm not trying to pin this on the Republicans (but it is their fault). Any party with control over the Senate, House and White House will start to act outside the c... |

This is a message going out to all the people writing software for electronic voting machines. Go back to school! As a programmer I'm having a real hard time fathoming how you can screw up voting software. It's not very hard to test. You should have already dumbed down the interface to the point a monkey can figure it out before he gets his first treat. Then it's just a matter of repeating the person's choices back to them for a final confirmation. Finally, hi... |

There's an interesting article on Wired.com. It's actually from the AP from August, but it's something I haven't heard about. Apparently there are soliders claiming that the sickness they are experiencing when they came back from Iraq is directly related to the depleted uranium we're using in our weapons. An interesting read...

I'm sorry, but to me, this is even crazier than stripping away Americans' rights. Cut off access to space? We're not just the police of the world now, but of the cosmos as well? Here's a link to the space policy:
National Space Policy
If you look on the second page, the fifth principal outlined under section 2 reads "...take those actions necessary to protect its space capabilities; respond to interference; and deny, if necessary, adversaries ... |

His job is complicated, encompassing many facets of varying disciplines with a goal to lead the American people to a new and brighter tomorrow... Oh wait, that's not right. His job is his job. Yeah, that makes more sense.

I remember in high school I took Speech class. We went on field trips to other schools and had Speech competitions. It was pure nerd-on-nerd action with the guy or girl with best piece of prose or inspirational literature walking away with the honors. Sure it was a geek fest, but at least it did something to prepare me for public speaking.
I've had this sinking suspicion for last, oh, 6 years that the leader of our county couldn't talk his way out of wet p... |
